ARS MEMORIAL DAY IN TORONTO |

On February 28th, all churched across Canada held special requiem service for Armenian Relief Society benefactors and members. Below are ARS Roubina Chapter members at St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church in Toronto. |

Հ.Օ.Մ.-ի Թորոնթոյի «Ռուբինա» Մասնաճիւղի Ամանորի Խրախճանք |

Հ.Օ.Մ.-ի Թորոնթոյի «Ռուբինա» Մասնաճիւղի տարեկան սովորութիւն դարձած Ամանորի խրախճանքը տեղի ունեցաւ ուրբաթ 4 Դեկտեմբերին, Հայ Կեդրոնի սրահէն ներս, ներկայութեամբ 165 անդամներու եւ համակիրներու: Ամանորի խրախճանքի յանձնախումբը երկու ամիսներու կազմակերպչական աշխատանքէն ետք, ճիգ չէր խնայած հայկական Ծննդեան օրերու մթնոլորտի ու ճոխ սեղաններու շուրջ հիւրասիրել հրաւիրեալները, բոլոր աղանդերները պատրաստելով իրենց անձնական տուներուն մէջ: Սեղանի կեդրոնի զարդարանքները, վիճակահանութեան նուէրներն ու Կաղանդ Պապուկի այցելութիւնը կուգային յաւելեալ խինդ եռանդ բերել. Այս բոլորը իր գագաթնակէտին կը հասցնէր DJ-ի բերած խանդավառութիւնը, որ բոլոր ներկաները հաճոյացուց մինչեւ առաւօտեան կանուխ ժամեր: |

Այս տարի մեր հրաւէրին ընդառաջած էին նաեւ Գէմպրիճի ու Միսիսոկայի ընկերուհիներ, որոնք խանդավառուած մթնոլորտէն սրահէն վերջին բաժնուողները եղան. Հայաստանէն ժամանած Կաղանդ Պապուկը հարուստ ըլլալով, ներկայ բոլոր փոքրերը ստացան մէյ մէկ նուէրներ, իսկ գրէթէ ամէն ներկաներուն կարողացաւ բաժին հանել վիճակահանութեան նուէրներէն: Շնորհիւ Հ.Օ.Մ.-ի անդամներուն եւ համակիրներուն, աւանդութիւն դարձած տարեկան այս ձեռնարկը եւս յաջողութեամբ պսակուեցաւ: Բարի երթ եւ նորանոր յաջողութիւններ 100-ամեայ երիտասարդ ու կենսալի Հայ Օգնութեան Միութեան. Վարձքը կատար մեր տեսլապաշտ սերունդին եւ լուսաշող ապագայ մեր ապագայ սերունդներուն: |

ARS SOSSE CHAPTER'S CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS - MONTREAL |
|
Dimanche 6 décembre 2009, quatre cent cinquante personnes ont franchi le seuil des portes du gymnase Hadjetian pleines de joie et d’anticipation. La Croix de Secours arménienne, Chapitre Sossé de Montréal, a organisé la célébration de Noël avec la présence de Père Noël, Maman Noël et le duo Hoy Lari. Hoy Lari, un groupe de chanteuses invité de la Californie, a mis en place un spectacle extraordinaire pour les enfants. |

| Voici comment ce bel avant-midi s’est déroulé : vers 10h20 les gens sont rentrés et se sont installés. Les tables étaient garnies de nourriture et de coloriage pour garder les petits occupés et contents. À 10h45, Père Noël, accompagné de Mère Noël, a fait une entrée dansante. Évidemment, les enfants étaient ravis de les voir. Ils leur ont fait chanter les chansons de Noël qui créa une atmosphère chaleureuse et festive. Peu après, les enfants se sont précipités en avant de la scène pour accueillir les chanteuses. Quelle belle énergie ces deux filles ont dégagé avec leurs nouveaux chants! Leur performance a incité tous les enfants à danser et à chanter avec elles. Après le spectacle, les enfants ont eu l’occasion d’interagir et de prendre des photos avec Père Noël et Hoy Lari. | |

À la sortie, les enfants étaient réjouis de voir que Père Noël avait des cadeaux pour tous! Finalement, parents et enfants étaient enchantés de leur matinée remplie d’allégresse et de surprises! C’était un grand succès! Tamar Kabasakalian |

ARS DAY 2009 - Montreal & Laval |
|
Armenian Relief Society Montreal "Sossé" and Laval "Shoushi" Chapters celebrated ARS Day on Sunday May 3th at Montreal Armenian Community Centre, under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Hagopian, Prelate. 300 guests attended the event . The event was presided by ungh. Haigo Nahabedian. The speaker of the even t was ungh. Maro Froundjian, ARS Central Committee vice-chairperson, the MC was ungh. Zepur Assadourian. The annual report and Sourp Hagop Armenian School annual allocation was presented by chapter chairpersons. Members who served the chapter for 15, 25, 35, 50 and 60 years were honoured. |

ARS DAY 2009 - Windsor |

ARS Windsor “Roubina” chapter celebrated it’s 30th anniversay on Saturday May 2nd, 2009, at Serbian Center in Tecumseh. Over 170 ARS members and friends attended the celebration, among them the representative of ARS executive committee, ungerouhi Shake Basmadjian from Detroit. Also present were ARS Canada’s executive committee members, ungerouhiner Varsenig Sarkissian, Keghouhi Bastajian, Silva Karpouzian (representative of ARS Windsor chapter) and Arminée Karabetian, chairperson was the speaker of the day. A.C.C. Toronto’s senior group was present with 36 members. |
