Armenian Relief Society Montreal "Sossé" and Laval "Shoushi" Chapters celebrated ARS Day on Sunday May 3th at Montreal Armenian Community Centre, under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Hagopian, Prelate. 300 guests attended the event .
The event was presided by ungh. Haigo Nahabedian. The speaker of the even t was ungh. Maro Froundjian, ARS Central Committee vice-chairperson, the MC was ungh. Zepur Assadourian.
The annual report and Sourp Hagop Armenian School annual allocation was presented by chapter chairpersons.
Mrs. Arminée Kasabian sung 2 songs and ungh. Houri Bedrosian accompanied her on piano. Miss Sonia Ajemian recited a poem and Alina Isra ielian played 2 pieces on piano.
Members who served the chapter for 15, 25, 35, 50 and 60 years were honoured.
In His Blessing, Archbishop Souren Kataroyan, praised the chapter’s hard work and dedication to the Armenian people. |
